Fiduciary Specialist - Pretoria


PRETORIA: A prominent provider of financial services has an exciting career opportunity available at their head office Faerie Glen, for a FIDUCIARY SPECIALIST to join their national team.

This is a permanent position which requires very specific skills and experience as detailed in the requirements below. A competitive monthly salary with company benefits is being offered.

Qualifications & Experience:

 
  • Minimum matric (grade 12) with an applicable tertiary qualification in terms of a recognised Diploma or higher learning qualification in Deceased Estate Administration.

  • A legal tertiary qualification or similar would be highly advantageous.

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the successful administration of deceased estates, drafting of wills and all related processes.

  • A minimum of 20 years’ experience in the broader financial administrative field and/or the financial services industry.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with all related legislation and regulations in terms of applicable fiduciary topics.

  • The confident ability to manage an end-to-end deceased estate, dealing professionally and with the required compassion with all parties involved.

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of the administrative deceased estate processes, including but not limited to initial intake and reporting requirements, obtaining letters of executorship, public advertising as per the Act, obtaining information in order to draft liquidation and distribution accounts, obtaining query sheets from the Master of the Court. Successful management of the entire detailed process up and until completion stage with the obtaining of the filing slip from the Master of the Court.

  • Confident and experienced in the management and execution of SARS fiduciary requirements, conveyances, transfers of movable assets including firearms, shares, etc.

  • Sound knowledge and experience in the claiming of life insurance, investments, deemed assets, etc.

  • Effective and professional drafting of executable and practical wills for clients.

  • Experience working on the LegalEase system, as well as fully computer literate in the complete MS Office programme.

  • Report writing skills with well-developed strategic planning and insight.

  • Proven experience and knowledge of insurance corporate management systems.

  • Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in Afrikaans and English: speak read and write.
