Client Liaison Officer - Medical Aid & Employee Benefits - Cape Town


 A prominent financial services provider has an exciting career opportunity available for a CLIENT LIAISON OFFICER – MEDICAL AID & EMPLOYEE BENEFITS, to join their dynamic business team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This is a permanent position which offers a market related salary structure.

Qualifications & Experience:

 
  • Minimum matric, with a tertiary qualification advantageous.

  • Minimum RE5 certification and NQF level 5 qualification is essential to the role.

  • Applicable Class of Business certification in health and medical aid products and its’ relevant disciplines as per the FSCA.

  • Valid CMS certificate.

  • Minimum 5 years’ applicable experience in the financial services / wealth management industry.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with an in-depth knowledge of employee benefits, including but not limited to medical aid products, hospital plans, medical insurance, pension funds, group life plans and employee benefits in general.

  • Previous career experience managing parastatal client accounts would be highly advantageous.

  • Strong and proven experience in customer care, business development, networking and prospecting and financial compliance with a well-networked clientele.

  • Proven business success (new business) whilst working in a target driven environment.

  • Proven and successful track record in key account management whilst simultaneously managing a variety of clients.

  • Solid experience and logistical knowledge of the Western Cape Province as business landscape.

  • The ability to manage and perform independently.

  • Tenacious and driven.

  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans: speak read and write. Fluency in Zulu and Xhosa highly advantageous.

  • Fully competent in the MS Office programme, with strong experience in report writing.

  • Trustworthy and ethical with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
